Privacy Policy

Effective: June 17, 2026  ·  Applies to the Come Behold app and the comebehold.app website.

Berean Studios LLC ("Berean Studios," "we," "us") makes the Come Behold app. This policy explains what data the app and website handle, where that data is stored, and the choices you have.

Plain-language summary Come Behold does not sell your data, show ads, or track you across apps and websites. You can use the app without a Come Behold account. Study data stays on your device unless you use iCloud sync, choose Come Behold account sync, submit a report to Berean Studios, or leave anonymous product analytics on. Apple handles payments and may process voice-note audio when you use speech transcription. Licensed Bible use may be reported to API.Bible as required by publisher terms.

1. Data you create in Come Behold

When you use Come Behold, you may create personal study material, including:

2. Where app data is stored

3. Come Behold account sync

Come Behold account sync uses Sign in with Apple and Supabase. If you sign in, we may receive and store your Come Behold account identifier, Apple-provided email address or private relay email, sync settings, and the synced study data you choose to keep in step across devices. Sync is used for app functionality and account support, not for advertising or tracking.

You can turn individual sync categories on or off in the app's Sync settings. Turning a category off removes that category's server copy for your Come Behold account where supported by the app.

4. Submitted reports and support

If you submit a passage-note report, the report may include the note title, verse range, category, your comment, and submission time. These reports are sent to a shared editorial queue so Berean Studios can review them. If you email support, we receive the email address and content you send.

5. Voice notes and speech recognition

Voice notes are recorded only when you choose to use the voice-memo feature and grant microphone permission. When Come Behold creates a transcript, it uses Apple speech recognition. Depending on device support and Apple framework behavior, voice-note audio may be sent to Apple for speech recognition processing so the app can create searchable text. The resulting voice memo and transcript stay on your device unless you choose Come Behold account sync, include them in a backup export, or otherwise share them.

6. Optional app analytics

Come Behold presents an anonymous product analytics choice during onboarding. The switch is on by default, and analytics begin only after that onboarding choice is saved. If analytics are on, the app may send event names such as app launch, reader opened, map opened, timeline opened, paywall viewed, purchase flow result, search result count bucket, screen load bucket, platform, app version, device class, subscription tier, Bible translation bucket, session ID, and an anonymous install ID. Analytics do not include notes, prayers, searches, exact verses, books or chapters read, tapped words, email address, Apple ID, Supabase account ID, or advertising identifiers. You can turn this off at any time in the app's Privacy settings; turning it off clears queued analytics events on the device.

7. Subscriptions and purchases

Come Behold offers optional purchases through Apple's App Store. Apple handles payment processing, billing, refunds, and subscription management. We do not receive your payment card number or billing address. The app receives purchase and entitlement information so it can unlock features, restore purchases, and support subscriptions. If you are signed in, purchase entitlement state may be associated with your Come Behold account for app functionality.

You can manage or cancel subscriptions in Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your Apple device.

8. Bible translations and API.Bible

Come Behold includes KJV and ASV Bible text offline. NASB 1995 is bundled for Berean subscribers. Licensed Bible content may trigger fair-use reporting through API.Bible / American Bible Society when a chapter is displayed. These requests identify the Bible version and chapter being displayed; they do not include your notes, highlights, prayer requests, or Come Behold account data.

API.Bible operates under its own terms.

9. Spotlight search

Come Behold indexes some app content into Apple's Spotlight system search index so you can find it from the device home screen. The Spotlight index lives on your device.

10. What we collect on comebehold.app

The Come Behold marketing and legal site uses Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights to measure aggregate page-view counts and load times. These tools are configured to be cookie-less and not to use advertising trackers. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or third-party ad tracking on the website.

11. What we do not do

12. Children

Come Behold is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If a parent or guardian believes a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will delete it where we can.

13. Your rights and choices

14. Security

On-device data is protected by Apple's device security and file protection when your device is locked. CloudKit and Supabase data are transmitted over TLS. Supabase sync tables use per-user access controls so signed-in users can access their own synced records. No system can guarantee absolute security, so keep your Apple ID, device passcode, and Come Behold account access protected.

15. Changes to this policy

If we update this policy in a way that materially changes how we handle your data, we will revise the "Effective" date at the top and, for substantive changes, post a notice on this page for at least 30 days. Continued use of Come Behold after a change indicates your acceptance where permitted by law.
